In 43 states in America people can carry weapons in the streets, and go with them into the restaurants, go shopping etc. Do you think that it is illegal? It isn’t true!!! It is absolutely legal. It is called OC (Open Carry) and it’s according to the Second Amendment to the Constitution. OC is a controversial issue. To carry a gun not concealed somewhere in a pocket or bag, but visible? It is supported mostly by women who don’t feel safe and want to protect themselves. The scientist and author of the book "More guns less crime” John Lott says that crime is less in areas where carrying guns is permitted. But is it really true? We do not know yet. In the USA there are lots of organizations pro and con OC and they are arguing all the time.

Do you think that it is a good idea to carry a gun? I don’t think so. It’s so dangerous when people have firearms. Sometimes they can shoot before they think: "Oh! What have I done?” But then it is too late.
