Many people during the holidays spend free time outside and often go skiing.
But what are we doing when we stay at home?
Winter break is very good time for everybody to have a rest.
Sitting by the fireplace with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate is the best way to relax. If you do not like reading you can watch TV but it is not a very good idea because your eyesight may deteriorate. Another possibility is to try some drawing, playing computer games or listening to music.
Are you an active person?
No problem!
Ice skating, hockey, skiing, snowboarding are only a few sports that we can do. We can also sledge and make a snowman with younger siblings. The closest ski slope is in Paczółtowice. The run has a length of 750 m. It’s quite small but cheap – only 15-20 zloty an hour. The longest slope is in Jaworzyna Krynicka. It is approximately 10 kilometers and a two-hour ticket costs 40 zloty. Do you want to do ice skating? You can go to the skating rink in Cracow or Krzeszowice.
What else can we do during winter holidays?
- go to the cinema (we recommend REC2, New Moon, District 9 etc.)
- go shopping (for example to the new Bonarka gallery in Cracow )
- hang out with friends
- sleep long hours
- go swimming
- watch a match or for example ski jumping
There are a lot of things that we can do at winter break.
We hope you have a nice rest from 17-31 January 2010. You can take it easy after getting good marks for the first semester. We’re sure that these two weeks will not be enough time to do all the things we listed.
