Unforgettable Memories? Interesting facts, places, people? Polish – German
Students Exchange – Osnabrück , 21-28 Fabruary 2010
First day – the arrival to Osnabrück. Everyone was worried about their host
families on the way, but when we met at the railway station we stopped worrying.
Next day - the visit to our hosts’ school. After touring the school, we had a
sightseeing trip of the town. Osnabrück is very old and beautiful. The evening
we spent in a bowling alley.
Third day - we attended lessons in the morning. Then we visited the town hall
where the official panel discussion was held about teaching in different
countries was run by the major of the town, the teachers and students from eight
European countries
Fourth day - early morning we went to the Klimahaus by train. The Klimahaus is a
very big museum where you can do lots of experiments and walk around and
experience all the climates of the world. At night, we went bowling again -
round two! It was the most interesting day of all.
Fifth day - we spent all day in the old town of Münster. We saw a lot of old
buildings - a very old gothic cathedral and a town hall. We were very cold, so I
think we won’t forget it.
Sixth day - we saw the old German border between East and West Germany, and some
exhibitions in the border museum. Then our bus took us to Volfsburg – the
hometown of Volkswagen. There is a big factory with its own car museum with all
makes of VW cars. It was a greater day for boys. We could sit in all the cars,
yes, even in ..!
Seventh day, the last day in Germany, no one was happy. We left in the morning
waving goodbye to our great hosts. The girls were weeping. So, the way to the
airport wasn’t happy at all.
