Last week I watched “Michael Jackson’s This Is It” which is a documentary mostly
based on music. It was created by the director Kenny Ortega, the scriptwriters
Bernt Amadeus Capra and William Budce, and the composers Tim Hays and Scott
Stambler. The cast is limited because the only actors are Michael Jackson
himself and Orianthi.
The plot of the film is not very complicated. It depicts the popular singer’s
preparations for the fifty concerts that were planned to be held at the 02 Arena
in London in 2009. The film gives Jackson’s fans the chance to experience his
career, rehearsals, and secrets behind the stage just before the huge shows. The
main character, known as the King of Pop, was one of the best singers and
dancers in the world. In the movie we can observe how he is changing throughout
his life: his skills, his style, and his appearance…
In my opinion, this film is really worth watching. We can find out something
more about the talented artist who died so unexpectedly on 25 June 2009.
