“The Zabierzow Bugle” project involving local news in English will be implemented by the Foundation for Education-Development-Environment in Bolechowice, in cooperation with the junior high schools in Zabierzów and Rudawa, and the Promotion Division of the Commune Office in Zabierzów.

As part of the project, journalism clubs will be established in both junior high schools and three newsletters with articles in English written by the young journalists will be issued. We expect the first edition of the newsletter in June 2009, and next in October and December this year. Materials from the particular editions will simultaneously appear on this site.

We offer awards for the authors of the best articles (the value of the prize pool is PLN 1,500) and for the readers: you can vote for the best work and win a prize).

The estimated value of the project is PLN 13,083 of which PLN 9,328 is financed with the grant from the Polish-American Freedom Foundation for the English Teaching program, represented in Poland by the Nidzica Development Foundation NIDA. The rest is covered by our Foundation.
